What Clinton's attitude to Israelii-Gaza war as American secretary of State represents?

Clinton's attitude to the Israeli-Gaza war shows that she will attempt to allow
Israel to carry on their miltiary attacks in Gaza. This shows that adventurism
extends far beyond the Neo-Conservatives (Neo-Cons) inside the American
Ruling Class. That is a disaster for their interests as it could cause revolutionary
overthrow of several Arab pro-Imperialist regimes and could see the Working
Classes coming onto the scene to assert their struggles. Strikes in Egypt over the past year or two shows potential of workers beginning to move as a class.


If American Imperialism does not pull back and make compromises with Bourgeois Nationalists in Third World countris and Stalinist regimes the world revolutionary
threat to Capitalism will become more acute. The Liberal Bourgeoisie have tried to use Obama to contain the radicalisation within America and to weaken the world revolution by making compromises with leaderships which can potentially weaken revolutionary upheavals. This strategy can only work if the majority of American Bourgeois elements are convinced it is necessary.


The Stalinists with their traditional Popular Frontist politics have created illusions
that Obama can reduce war dangers. This makes the fundamental mistake that Bourgeois politicians are driven into war by the pressures of Imperialist
Capitalism. In periods of massive economic crisis pressures on them is
higher for them to carry out miltiary adventures. From a tactical point of
view any more adventures could lead to the of deepening world revolution.


The Far Left have gone from a sectarian attitude to Black Nationalism to
being insufficently warning the masses that Obama primary aim is to
maintain Capitalism and if he pulls back on wars is not for their interests
but for the interests of American Imperialism. At the same time we cannot
be sectarian to the masses beginning to radicalise despite its form of being
elected a Liberal-Bourgeois politican.


John Ross a British ex-Trotskyist shows the pitfulls of capitlating to the masses illusions in Obama saying in a unqualified way the masses have won! It is true in one sense but is very limited because of his limiations as a Bourgeois politician. The role of Trotskysists is to argue why we were correct for not voting in a Bourgeois
politican but also to carry on the struggle against American wars. In this way we use the Dialectcial Materialist method of using the partial consciousness against war represented by Obama's vote to a struggle against him carrying out American Imperialism's policies more effectively and eventually through Transitional demands
to organise the overthrow of American Capitalism.


There are still dangers of World War 3 if American Imperialism pushes things too much! If for example how would the Russian Bureaucracy react if Georgian bases are used to bomb Iran? There may be tactical or strategic differences between Obama and Clinton. The fact that he has appointed Clinton as Secretary of State shows that he might bow to miltiary adventures. Ross's fundamental error is confusng the masses with machinations and manouvres within the American ruling class.


There has been a spontanous mass movement beginning to emerge against the
terrible Israeli slaughter in Gaza. The rising of another mass movement is frightening the British ruling class. It could spread from the war to other disconents over the economic crisis. Newsnight last night launcing a witch-hunt could be a sign to weaken the mass movement through slander and divde and rule.


Unlike Ultra-Left sectarians such as the Spartcist League Trotskyists support demands for American and the EU to end their miltiary and economic aid to Isreal! These Ultra-Lefts oppose those demands on the basis that it creates illusuions in Obama! At the same time Annie Lennox makes the opposite error of calling on Obama to end the Israeli-Gaza war. This creates real illusions that Obama is primarially concerened with the Palestian Arabs. Trotskyist raise demands to oppose what Imperialist governemts are actually dong!
